Designed for youth, grades 6 through 12, the youth ministry program of Christ the Lord inspires growing relationships with Christ and with one another. Combining learning, fellowship, and service events, this program is enthusiastically attended by our youth. Contact Vickie Davis, Director of Youth Ministry, (ext. 115) for more details on the following ministries:
Confirmation Ministry (Grades 6 to 8): It’s not that boring oldclass you might remember! Each Sunday at 5:00 pm, the youth share a meal with the Sr. High Youth, and then gather in the sanctuary for music, drama, and a lesson taught by Vickie Davis. The youth then break into small groups for more in-depth discussion led by an adult and a high school peer leader. This structure offers time to build strong relationships among the youth, to discuss key faith issues, and to plan service projects throughout the year. The rite of Confirmation takes place in the spring. Middle School youth also participate in a variety of fellowship and service events through the year.
High School Youth Group: If you’re looking for fun and inspiration, look no further! The High School youth meet regularly on Sunday nights for Connections, a time to connect with friends,God’s word, and your faith journey with Jesus. Program is from4:00 to 5:00 pm with dinner at 5:00 pm. High School youth who are involved in Peer Ministry will meet from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. Also, many youth participate in planning and leading a monthly worship service. Lock-ins, social events, service projects, ALL GEORGIA, AFFIRM, servant camp, and the National Youth Gathering round out a busy year!!
Sunday School Classes: For both middle and high school youth, classes are offered each week.
Friends of Faith Teens: Middle and high school students meet on Wednesday nights from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. The group offers learning time, fellowship, and service. FOF Teens follows the Friends of Faith schedule with dinner served at 6:30 pm. There is a fee to cover the cost of the meal.
