Opportunity to Work with Our Youth
We have an amazing group of high school youth at our church. They are smart, talented, compassionate, and kind. We are seeking one volunteer to join the Sunday school teacher team. The Volunteer will work with the other two high school teachers in leading the youth on their Faith Journey. There is a lot of discussion of current events and how the Bible relates to each. We encourage service work for the group and fellowship. No teaching experience is needed for the volunteer. Help us show our youth how important we believe them to be. The teacher will start Sunday school on September 10 and continue through the school year until May 12. There are several Sundays off for Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter. Sunday school meets during the 10:00 hour. Contact Diane Thomas for more information or to volunteer.

Community Sunday
September 24
Ever wonder who attends the service you do not attend? Well, it is about time you found out. On Sunday, September 24, 2023, Christ the Lord Lutheran Church will join the two services together for our first Community Sunday. We will all together at 10:00 a.m. that day.
This Community Sunday will feature a barbecue cookoff and potluck side dishes. We are seeking 4 to 5 teams/individuals to prepare their favorite barbecue. The entries will be judged and a trophy will be presented. Pr. Brad seems to think he will win, so let's show him some Southern hospitality by demonstrating how it's done.
Contact Kelli Robinson or indicate on the back of your attendance slip if you are interested in participating in the barbecue cookoff or volunteering to help with this event.
