Who We Support

Members of Christ the Lord are active in reaching out to meet the needs of our community.

Angel Tree

Working with local schools and community organizations, we identify ways to support neighbors in need at Christmas.

Hunger Walk

Annually a team of walkers raise money for the Atlanta Community food bank by participating in the Hunger Walk. Doing so supports our local food bank.

Brookdale Senior Living

A team of servants host weekly Bingo events onsite.

Domestic Violence Shelter

We partner with the shelter by providing a safe place for donors to the shelter to bring items needed by the shelter. We have prepared and delivered dinner to the families so they can have a valuable night off.

Happy Tails and Therapy Dogs International

These groups utilize our facility for orientation to their programs and to conduct training events for dogs and their people to serve in therapy settings.

Habitat for Humanity

We provide teams to support building homes for neighbors in need throughout Gwinnett County.

Lawrenceville Co-Op Food Bank

CTL was a founding member of the Lawrenceville Co-Op. Alongside other churches in the Lawrenceville and Dacula area, we worked ecumenically to create a space where with the support of the community, neighbors in need could access food and other vital support.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Prayer shawls are created by members of CTL. These loving gifts are shared with members who are experiencing medical challenges. They provide a reminder that they are covered in prayer.

Red Cross Blood Drive

Blood drives are held throughout the year providing the community an accessible and convenient place to donate blood.

Special Needs Schools of Gwinnett

For more than 30 years Special Needs Schools of Gwinnett has been educating and empowering children who need a dedicated and flexible school setting to maximize their potential. The school began as one class in the facility of Christ the Lord Lutheran Church. SNS seeks to nurture and challenge each student at their own level while instilling a positive self-image and love for learning that will last a lifetime. Special Needs Schools of Gwinnett is dedicated to serving every child and young adult who wants to be part of the SNS family. The school grew from a one class Preschool into a full PK-12 and beyond education provider.
