Christ the Lord Lutheran Church (Lawrenceville, GA) is seeking a full-time Worship Leader & Youth Faith Formation Administrator to join our ministry team.

This unique position blends musical leadership—serving as the lead vocalist for Sunday worship services—with youth discipleship, serving as administrator of faith formation for children and teens (ages 4–18). We’re looking for someone with energy, creativity, and a collaborative spirit, who is rooted in the teachings of Christ and passionate about helping others grow in faith. Musical experience and a heart for working with youth are essential. Lutheran background is welcome but not required.

Position Summary

Christ the Lord (CTL) Lutheran Church is seeking a faith-driven individual to serve in two vital roles: Lead Vocalist for Worship and Youth Faith Formation Director.

The ideal candidate will be grounded in the teachings of Christ. While Lutheran affiliation is not required, the candidate should be comfortable working in a liturgical context and committed to fostering spiritual growth through worship and education.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Worship Leader (Vocalist First)

In collaboration with the Music Director and under the direction of the Pastor, the Worship Leader will serve as the primary vocalist for both Sunday worship services (8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.). This person will lead congregational singing and contribute to the spiritual vitality of the congregation through excellent musical leadership.

• Key Duties:
• Lead congregational singing and vocal worship at both services.
• Provide strong, confident vocal leadership, both solo and with the choir.
• Assist in planning and preparing special musical offerings (e.g., Advent, Lent, Holy Week).
• Collaborate with and support the choir during rehearsals and services.
• Help recruit and mentor other vocalists and musicians.
• Ensure worship music reflects the church’s mission and liturgical calendar.

2. Youth Faith Formation Director

This role provides spiritual leadership and coordination for Christian education among youth ages 4–18.

• Key Duties:
• Recruit volunteers.
• Support and empower Sunday School teachers and volunteers.
• Aid in equipping children and families for lifelong faith formation.
• Develop or select engaging, age-appropriate curriculum.
• Plan and manage a calendar of youth events and gatherings.
• Manage the youth faith formation budget.

Qualifications

• Strong vocal ability and experience leading church music.
• Experience with or a passion for youth and children’s ministry.
• Familiarity with Lutheran liturgy preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a ministry team.
• Commitment to worship, discipleship, and Christian education.
